Kim first met Kris at a basketball game. Kim had her eye on Kris, and her friend said that she knew a friend of Kris's. Soon after, they all went out to dinner. Then, they were engaged after just six months of dating. Kim's fairytale wedding aired on E! earlier this month.

Just a few weeks ago, rumors began that the two were headed for divorce. Star Magazine reported that Kim was seen consulting a lawyer in New York. Meanwhile, Kris was partying since he's unemployed due to the NBA lockout. Rumor had it that Kim was fed up with Kris's partying and immature lifestyle. The rumors escalated when Kris was seen moving boxes out of the hotel he shared with Kim the day before Kim's 31st birthday.

Kim made a public announcement October 31, 2011, stating that she, did, in fact, file for divorce. Kim said, "I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned." Kris had his own statement, saying, "I'm committed to this marriage and everything the covenant represents, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work."
